End-of-Life Planning Seminars

Death is a subject most people don't usually wish to talk about, but communicating final wishes to loved ones is vital, especially when we do not know where family members will be in terms of faith. During the spring of 2016, experts shared about how making decisions while we are healthy and can ease the pain for our families while ensuring that our choices are honored and our loved ones protected.

The seminars included presentations by a funeral director, priest, estate planning attorney, estate planning accountant, investment planner, and emergency services representative.

Sponsors for the regional events were the Central Washington Catholic Foundation and Catholic Charities.

The feedback from the seminars has been overwhelmingly positive and the Foundation plans to sponsor them again in April of 2016. There were 80 attendees in Richland, 41 in Yakima, and 25 in Wenatchee.

“This was a great seminar and an excellent way to reach the public with information.”
